    New car registrations rise for eighth month

    In July, new car registrations in the UK increased by 11.7%, totaling 156,571 vehicles, marking the eighth consecutive month of growth. The electric vehicle market significantly contributed to this rise, with registrations up 44.5% to 43,106 cars. Private buyer uptake rose by 12.6%, while fleet deliveries increased by 9.5%. The SMMT predicts EVs will reach a 27.4% market share by year-end.
