    New heart procedure at Mater Hospital introduced

    The Mater Hospital in Dublin has launched a new percutaneous mitral valve replacement procedure, deemed a major advancement in cardiac care. This less invasive option is for patients at high risk for traditional surgery, offering a quicker recovery. Since May, five procedures have been performed, significantly improving patients' quality of life, including a successful case for a 62-year-old man.
