    UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham has announced plans to provide emergency accommodation and long-term housing support for rough sleepers by Christmas. The initiative follows a record number of rough sleepers in England, with 4,793 recorded in 2025. The government is allocating £442 million to areas with high homelessness levels, aiming to help thousands find secure homes.
