    Alleged spiking incidents reported every six days

    New figures reveal that an alleged spiking incident is reported to gardaí in Ireland on average once every six days. Between January 2021 and December 2025, there were 339 reported cases, highlighting concerns from victim support groups about underreporting. Calls for new legislation to address spiking have been made, as current laws are deemed insufficient.
