    Thieves Steal Renaissance Artworks in Sicily

    Thieves have stolen four works attributed to Antonello da Messina from the MuMe museum in Messina, Sicily, during the Ferragosto holiday. The stolen pieces include three panels from the San Gregorio Polyptych and a double-sided panel of the Virgin Mary. Experts warn that selling these recognizable artworks through legitimate channels will be extremely difficult.
