    Pair accused over nurse's death denied bail

    Kevin McGuigan, charged with the manslaughter of nurse Karen Cummings, was denied bail for private medical treatment. Cummings died from a gunshot wound in December 2024. McGuigan, currently in custody, faces multiple charges including firearm offences. The court ruled that releasing him posed risks of witness interference and further offending, given his criminal history.
