    Northern Ireland Law Society Chief Guilty of Misconduct

    David Lavery, the head of the Northern Ireland Law Society, has been found guilty of gross misconduct for providing a character reference for his cousin, William Lloyd-Lavery, a convicted paedophile. The disciplinary panel decided on a sanction short of dismissal. Some solicitors are calling for a vote of no confidence in Lavery amid frustrations over the lack of information regarding the investigation.
