    According to Met Éireann, July 2026 was the third hottest month on record for Ireland, with a national mean temperature of 17.25C. It was also the driest July recorded, with only 16mm of rainfall. Heatwaves were reported at seven weather stations, lasting between five and 13 days, highlighting significant climate trends in the region.
