    UHL Sees Record Emergency Department Attendances

    University Hospital Limerick recorded over 55,400 emergency department attendances in early August, the highest in Ireland. The HSE Mid West is urging the public to seek alternative healthcare to ease pressure on UHL. A shortage of GPs and broader healthcare capacity issues are contributing factors. Immediate staffing increases and a new hospital facility are planned to address these challenges.
