    Harris signals tax cut on home heating oil

    The Tánaiste, Simon Harris, has indicated that the Government may reduce tax on home heating oil in the upcoming Budget. He emphasized the need for clarity on energy prices and mentioned two potential options: lowering the carbon tax on kerosene or equalizing the VAT rate on heating oil with that of gas. Harris also plans to address income tax thresholds.
