    Bayeux Tapestry Opens to Public in London

    The Bayeux Tapestry has gone on public display at the British Museum for the first time in nearly a thousand years. Thousands queued to see the 70-metre long tapestry, which depicts the Norman conquest. It is on loan until September 2027 as part of a trilateral agreement between the UK and France, with special security measures in place.
