    Mother sentenced for filming son's Belfast riot involvement

    Michelle Greer, a 49-year-old mother from Belfast, received a 12-month suspended sentence for child cruelty after filming her 15-year-old son participating in a riot. The incident occurred during racially-motivated disorder in July 2024. Judge Laura Ievers expressed concern over Greer's actions, stating she encouraged anti-social behavior by filming her son instead of intervening.
