    Dublin MetroLink Project Receives Cabinet Approval

    After over 50 years of proposals and delays, Dublin's MetroLink project has finally secured Cabinet approval. The project aims to connect Swords to Charlemont, with an estimated cost of €9.5 billion. Although planning permission was granted in 2025, the MetroLink is not expected to be operational until the mid-2030s, following a long history of setbacks and revisions.
