    NI Taxi Drivers Keep Licences Despite Serious Offences

    In Northern Ireland, taxi drivers with serious convictions, including sex offences and assault, have been allowed to retain their licenses. Between 2021 and 2025, 12 drivers had their licenses revoked, with some holding them for up to five years post-conviction. Calls for stricter monitoring and transparency in the licensing system have emerged following these revelations.
