    Paramedics Regulator Warns of Public Safety Risks

    The Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) in Ireland has repeatedly alerted health ministers about public safety risks due to its lack of power to remove individuals with criminal convictions from its register. Despite warnings since 2021, legislation has not been strengthened, leaving at least 13 practitioners with criminal records on the register, raising serious concerns about patient safety.
