    A new report reveals that 2,205 pubs in Ireland have closed since 2005, representing a quarter of all establishments. The study, conducted by economist Anthony Foley for the Drinks Industry Group of Ireland, indicates an average of 110 closures annually. The report highlights significant declines across all southern counties, with Limerick experiencing the highest drop at 37%.
