    Inquest finds hospital failures contributed to Branson's wife's death

    An inquest revealed that the private Lister Hospital's failure to administer preventative anticoagulants contributed to the death of Lady Joan Branson, 80, after a cardiac arrest. She was admitted following a fall and was at high risk for blood clots. The coroner stated that appropriate treatment could have likely prevented her death.
