    Parades Commissioner resigns after Drumcree ruling

    Billy Gamble, the Parades Commissioner, has resigned following controversy over the Drumcree ruling. The Northern Ireland Office confirmed that Secretary of State Chris Bryant accepted his resignation after the High Court quashed the commission's determination on the Orange Order's annual parade. Gamble, appointed in 2021, was expected to serve until 2027. Unionist politicians are calling for further resignations.
