    Network Rail sues over £5m train derailment

    Network Rail is suing DB Cargo UK and Touax Rail for over £5 million following a train derailment in August 2020 that resulted in a significant fuel spill in south Wales. The incident involved 10 carriages derailing, releasing 446,000 litres of fuel, with 116,000 litres igniting. The lawsuit claims negligence in maintenance led to the derailment.
