    Mater Misericordiae University Hospital has been ordered to pay €10,000 to healthcare assistant Paul Agbons for racial discrimination. The Workplace Relations Commission found that Agbons was suspended based on the color of his skin after a patient complaint, without sufficient evidence linking him to the alleged misconduct. The suspension lasted six days, causing lasting distress.
