    HSE Drugs Group rejects Skyclarys coverage

    The HSE Drugs Group has recommended against covering Skyclarys, a drug for Friedreich's Ataxia, despite support from the Rare Diseases Technology Review Group. This decision will be reviewed by HSE senior management on August 25. Campaigners, representing around 200 patients, expressed devastation over the news, as Skyclarys is the first treatment for this rare neurological condition.
