    High Court rules on Irish Language Strategy delay

    A High Court judge declared the Stormont Executive in breach of its legal obligation to implement an Irish language strategy. Mr Justice McAlinden criticized Communities Minister Gordon Lyons for an irrational and unlawful lack of response during the process. The court noted ongoing efforts by officials but confirmed no strategy would be in place before May 2027.
