    Government to Acquire Speciality Steel UK for £350m

    The UK Government plans to take over Speciality Steel UK, incurring costs of approximately £350 million, after a private sector bid failed. Business Secretary Jonathan Reynolds stated the acquisition aims to stabilize the business, which employs around 1,300 people. The Government will pay off creditors and inject working capital over one to three years, with the process expected to take four to six months.
