    Gordonstoun Pupils Discover Viking Church in Scotland

    Students from Gordonstoun School uncovered the remains of a medieval Viking church, believed to be around 1,000 years old, on the uninhabited Orkney island of Swona. The discovery was made during an archaeological field trip in collaboration with professional archaeologists. The church's foundation and altar were identified, with further analysis planned through radiocarbon dating of collected samples.
