    Over 205,000 households in Northern Ireland will face a 19% increase in gas bills starting October 1, adding approximately £174 to annual costs. This rise is attributed to soaring wholesale natural gas prices, which have reached their highest levels since the US-Iran crisis. The increase affects both domestic and small business customers on the Greater Belfast gas network.
