    Firm fined for nuisance calls to elderly

    Elderly Aids Limited has been fined £190,000 by the Information Commissioner’s Office for making nearly 760,000 cold calls to elderly individuals, promoting call-blocking devices. The company targeted those registered with the Telephone Preference Service, using aggressive and misleading tactics. Despite requests for information from the ICO, EAL continued its practices during the investigation, showing a disregard for the law.
