    Ex-garda sentenced for sharing PULSE data

    Shane Flanagan, a former garda, was sentenced to nine months for disclosing PULSE identification data of 14 female motorists to a friend, enabling him to view their Facebook profiles. This offense occurred between January and September 2020. Flanagan is already serving a seven-year sentence for inciting rape. His friend, Colm Meere, received a suspended sentence for inciting Flanagan.
