    Irish Rail control centre cost rises significantly

    The estimated cost of Irish Rail's National Train Control Centre (NTCC) project has increased by up to €57 million, now projected to total between €175 million and €205 million. Delays and issues with the traffic management system have contributed to this over-budget situation. The project was initially budgeted at €148 million and was expected to be completed by March 2025.
