    AstraZeneca halts lung cancer treatment trial

    AstraZeneca has discontinued its phase three trial for the lung cancer drug Volrustomig, citing a lack of improvement in survival rates compared to existing treatments. This decision follows a similar halt for a heart disease treatment trial. Despite this setback, AstraZeneca plans to continue trials for Volrustomig in other cancers and reported positive results for its Enhertu treatment.
