    Northern Ireland gas bills to rise by 19%

    Over 205,000 households in Northern Ireland will experience a 19% increase in gas bills this winter, effective October 1. This hike, adding approximately £174 to annual bills, is attributed to soaring wholesale natural gas prices, which have reached levels not seen since the US-Iran conflict. The average annual bill will now be around £2,172.
