    Ireland to Increase Public Transport Fares by 15%

    Starting January 2027, adult public transport fares in Ireland will rise by an average of 15%, as announced by the National Transport Authority (NTA). This increase applies to cash fares, Leap Card fares, and time-based products, although fares will still be about 8% lower than eight years ago. Child fares will decrease, and free travel remains for eligible individuals.
